John W. Beckley
Owner & Operator
Docall Design & Custom Woodworking L.L.C. was built on a foundation of experience, craftsmanship, and a passion for design. At the heart of our story is John W. Beckley, Owner & Operator, who brings over 60 years of expertise to every project.
John’s background includes 15 years in stick-framed residential building, 15 years in post-frame agricultural construction, and over 30 years specializing in post-frame design. This depth of knowledge allows him to create personalized, code-compliant solutions that truly reflect each client’s unique style and needs.
Based in Delaware County, Ohio, John takes pride in serving the local community and surrounding counties with thoughtful designs and custom woodworking that stand the test of time.
Heritage & Craftsmanship
My passion for custom woodworking is deeply personal, shaped not just by skill but by a love of history and family legacy. One of the projects closest to my heart was creating a frame for my family’s Beckley Coat of Arms, which arrived as an unframed canvas. I devoted months to researching my family’s origins, tracing the Beckley name back to medieval England, and exploring the architectural styles of that era.
Every detail of the frame—from the traditional forms to the intricate routed designs and the symbolic corner emblems representing the regions where the Beckley family settled—was carefully planned and crafted by hand.
This project was more than woodworking; it was a labor of love that connected me to my heritage and reminded me how thoughtful design and dedicated craftsmanship can transform a treasured piece into a lasting family heirloom.
